Without question, Apple Lane and Dr. Randy Smith saved and extended the life of our beloved little dog, who suffered from diabetes, Cushing's disease and ultimately, cancer. While his first vet wanted to put him down, Randy went to work and was patient, caring and unfailingly loyal to Mackie throughout his life. He was available to us 24 hours a day for whatever questions we faced, or the frequent crisis that developed. He and the Apple Lane staff gave us time with Mackie we would not have gotten elsewhere. We are forever in their debt.

I would not consider taking a pet to another vet hospital in the greater Wichita metropolitan area. Apple Lane is the best, and if there was a sixth star, I'd give it.

I truly like bringing my animals to this place but I have to admit the attitude of the receptionist cashier is really dry and unfriendly. The care my animals receive is much better then the door greeting that could be said as needing adjustment, it really would help.

I have used AppleLane Animal Hospital for eight years for both my horses, dogs, parrot and cats. I have found them to be interested in my animal’s health both physically and mentally. They have always informed me about any procedures they are performed. I like the fact that there are a couple of veterinarians who see my animals, because no doctor or vet is perfect, and in this way I can tap into a larger think tank about my animal’s health. I had to wait on a couple of occasions, but only because there were real emergencies before me. I also don’t mind waiting, because I don’t appreciate a vet who rushes through an appointment, just so they can stay on schedule; and possibly miss something that may be detrimental to the health of my pets. Furthermore, they perform many tests on site, which can keep an owner from waiting several days to find out the results. These tests can add extra time to an appointment that was not foreseen. They do cost less than other vets in our area, and I appreciate that because owning a pet can be very expensive. I like be able to care for animals adequately without having to pay unreasonable amounts for their well being. The personal have on every visit been friendly, helpful, and always remember my animals. The new personal just need the time to get to know everyone. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in quality care for their pets.

Took our dog there for a few months for her puppy shots and etc. Did not have a problem with the vets, but the receptionist was never friendly and often quite rude. Switched to CKVC they have much better service.
